Samuel Thorpe
Sam is a Marshall Scholar at the University of Manchester, one of 50 Americans selected to receive the Marshall Scholarship for 2024-2026. Researching deindustrialization, regional inequality, and poverty in the US and United Kingdom. Prior to this he conducted research on US fiscal policy with Dr. William Gale and Dr. Cecilia Rouse, with a focus on the distributional and revenue effects of tax and labor market policies.
