This Week’s Guest: Kimberly A. Clausing, Thormund A. Miller and Walter Mintz Professor of Economics, Reed College

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC) is holding a series of online conversations on policy responses to the COVID-19 economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature experts with various perspectives on the historic economic challenges the United States and the world are facing and the best ways to address them. 

This week, our guest is Kimberly A. Clausing (@KClausing), Thormund A. Miller and Walter Mintz professor of economics at Reed College and author of Open: The Progressive Case for Free Trade, Immigration, and Global Capital. She’ll talk with TPC senior fellow Howard Gleckman (@howard_gleckman) about the pandemic’s influence on potential corporate and international tax reforms, and its effects on the US economy, the federal debt, and global trade and capital flows.
