This week’s guest: Nina Olson, Executive Director of the Center for Taxpayer Rights and former National Taxpayer Advocate
The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC) is holding a series of online conversations on policy responses to the COVID-19 economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges faced by the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.
This week’s guest is Nina Olson, the executive director of the nonprofit Center for Taxpayer Rights, which works to further taxpayer rights in the US and internationally. Before joining the center, she was the national taxpayer advocate at the IRS from 2001 to 2019. She’ll talk with TPC senior fellow Howard Gleckman (@howard_gleckman) about the second COVID-19 tax season and the challenges the IRS will face.
