The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC) is holding a series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.
This week's guest is Adam Cohen, Google’s London-based director of economic policy. Before joining Google in 2010, he was an economics correspondent for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. He'll discuss the global efforts seeking to modernize the corporate income tax in response to technological innovation, including the implementation of digital service taxes and the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative.
