The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center is holding a series of online conversations on tax and fiscal policy in today’s economy. The discussions take place every other Thursday afternoon and feature varying perspectives on the historic economic challenges facing the United States and the world and the best ways to address them.

This week's guest is Matt Darling, an employment policy fellow with the Niskanen Center. Recent job growth has been fairly strong, but the labor market is not yet fully recovered from the pandemic-driven recession. Darling will discuss the fiscal policies that have helped support the recovery thus far and what role the Build Back Better Act might play in the coming months and years.
